Time billing for standardised compliance services introduces too many variables i.e. consider the following example & try to come up with a fair price using time billing -

Preparation of financial statements for a small company trading entity, preparation of the company tax return

A graduate does the work and takes 2 hours at a charge out rate of $100/hr equalling a fee of $200 or a senior accountant does the work and takes 1 hour & 30min at a charge out rate of $200/hr equalling a fee of $300.
